Bilateral Primary Carcinoma of the Ureter Associated with Acute Renal Failure

Abstract

|
We report a rare case of bilateral transitional cell carcinoma of the ureter associated with acute renal failure. After bilateral percutaneous nephrostomy, right nephroureterectomy was performed without complete resection of the ureteral tumor.
Following two cycles of chemotherapy, left upper ureteral obstruction was considerably decompressed with normal renal function.
